Technical Specifications
For best possible results and fastest turnaround, we prefer to generate film from client-supplied digital files. Contact MMCPI to get information or if you have design questions.

Disk Identification
The disk should be labeled with the customer’s name, the selection numbers and titles.
Fonts
All screen and printer fonts associated with the job should be included on disk with the files to be output. We haves current licenses for the following type libraries:
- Adobe PostScript Library
- Agfa Creative Alliance Library & Cornerstone Collection
- Agfa PC Library
- Agfa Logo & Symbols Library
- Bitstream Typeface Library
Note: For best results use Type 1 Fonts (PostScript) rather than TrueType.
Page Proofs
All digital files should be accompanied by a laser composite. For multicolor printing, a separated laser proof should also be included. We will use this to confirm the accuracy of your digital file. If the file is 4-color process and critical color match is necessary, we recommend that you allow us to generate and send to you a matchprint proof of the film we output so you can confirm and approve color accuracy. If the file contains 2 or 3 colors, we recommend that you allow us to generate and send for your approval a digital color proof that will show you the color breaks and position of the PMS colors as you have created them in your file.
Linked Images
Include copies of all linked files along with the digital file to be output to film. Check all graphics to make sure they are in accordance with the color printed (e.g., if printing a 4-color photo, make sure the file is set to CMYK instead of RGB).
Sending PostScript files is not recommended. If it is necessary to send a PostScript file, include the original native file in case there is a problem with the PostScript file. Remember that PostScript files are not editable (corrections to line screen, trapping, and type cannot be made). Any bitmapped images contained in the file should be at a resolution of 1.5 to 2 times the final line screen ruling. Anything less could affect the quality of the final output. Anything more is unnecessary and creates long imaging times.
Preflighting
Preflighting will be done on all jobs furnished as files. Mistakes that can hold up production include incorrect trim, perf and bleed specifications, application version incompatibilities, missing fonts, improper trapping, and improperly specified colors.
